We collect and use information from website visitors in accordance with this section and the section entitled Disclosure and additional uses of your information.
Our website server automatically logs the IP address you use to access our website, as well as other information about your visit such as the pages accessed, information requested, the date and time of the request, the source of your access to our website, and your browser version and operating system. Our server logs are used to ensure network and IT security and so that the server and website remain uncompromised. Unless we are investigating suspicious or potential criminal activity, we do not attempt to identify you from server-log information.
Legal basis for processing: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) and our legitimate interests in ensuring network and information security (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies are data files sent from a website to a browser to record information about users for various purposes. We use essential, functional and analytical cookies on our website. You can reject some or all cookies by changing your browser settings, but doing so may impair your ability to use our website or some of its features. When you send an email to an address displayed on our website, we collect your email address and any other information you provide in that email (such as your name, telephone number and the information in your signature block).
When you contact us using our contact form, we collect your name, email address, contact details, any additional information you voluntarily provide, and your IP address. If you do not provide the mandatory information required by our contact form, you will not be able to submit it and we will not receive your enquiry. Our contact form is operated on our behalf by our website hosting and form provider, Netlify, which processes these submissions, stores them, and forwards them to us by email.
When you contact us by phone, we collect your phone number and any information you provide during the conversation. We do not record phone calls.
If you contact us by post, we collect any information you provide in your postal communications.
Legal basis for processing (for all of the above): our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and keeping records of correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and where applicable, the performance of a contract or taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Information may be obtained by us from third parties, which could include credit reference agencies or trade references. Information we obtain from third parties will generally be your name and contact details but may include additional information they provide. In certain circumstances we will obtain information about you from publicly accessible sources (such as the electoral register, Companies House, business directories, media publications, social media and websites) and from private sources (such as Experian). If we receive information about you in error and we have no legal basis for processing it, we will delete it.
We use a number of third parties to provide services necessary to run our business. Your information will be shared with these service providers where necessary to provide you with the service you have requested. We do not display the identities of all our service providers publicly for security and competitive reasons; if you have a legitimate reason for requesting this information, please contact us.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure your information and protect it against unauthorised or unlawful use and accidental loss or destruction, including: sharing and providing access only to the minimum extent necessary; using secure servers; verifying the identity of anyone who requests access before granting it; using SSL software to encrypt information submitted via forms and any payment transactions; and only transferring information via closed systems or encrypted data transfers.
Transmission of information over the internet is not entirely secure, and if you submit any information to us over the internet you do so at your own risk.
Some of the service providers we use process information outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Submissions made through our contact form are processed by our form provider, Netlify, and may be stored on servers in the United States. Information collected by Google Analytics (your IP address and the actions you take in relation to our website) may also be transferred outside the UK and EEA and stored on Google's servers. Where your information is transferred outside the UK and EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure it receives an equivalent level of protection. 'Sensitive personal information' is information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic or biometric data, or information concerning health, sex life or sexual orientation. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and you must not submit it to us.
We update and amend our Privacy Policy from time to time. For minor changes we will update this page with a new effective date. For major changes, or where we intend to use your information for a new purpose, we will notify you by email (where possible) or by posting a notice on our website, and where required we will obtain your prior consent.
We care about the safety and privacy of children online. We do not knowingly contact or collect information from persons under the age of 18, and this website is not intended to solicit information from persons under 18.
